Chad Williams is a Canadian mathematics educator currently teaching Middle Years Mathematics and High Level Mathematics at the Pan American School of Bahia in Salvador, Brazil. He has 18 years of teaching experience across elementary and middle years and holds a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies from the University of Saskatchewan.


Chad has been actively involved in mathematics education through classroom teaching, professional learning, conference workshops, and work with current and prospective teachers. He has presented sessions for teachers, administrators, and families, served as president of the Saskatchewan Mathematics Teachers’ Society, and created the mathematics game Represent!. He is also the creator of Beyond the Algorithm, where he shares original classroom resources alongside carefully selected mathematics tasks, routines, and ideas from educators and organizations around the world.

​Chad completed his Master’s of Professional Education in the field of Mathematics Education through Western University in London, Ontario, Canada.  ​​His focus is on elementary mathematics with interests in computational thinking, math routines, classroom discourse and mathematical mindset.
