• 5 or 10 manipulatives
• A cup or bowl
• Five or ten frame

How to Play

• A player places some of the bears in the cave (cup or bowl) pretending they are taking a nap.
• The other player looks at how many are awake and tried to determine how many bears are asleep.
• Players can place the bears that are awake on the five or ten frame to help determine how many bears as sleeping.
• Players alternate taking turns placing bears in the cave.
